Welcome to Steve's guitar pages. Browse through pictures of all of Steve's instruments, some info on techniques and a large library of musical buddies from the UK folk rock scene. Steve still plays quite a bit and details of gigs will be posted on these pages every month

Steve started playing in 1965 and moved into the UK pub and club circuit with various bands in the the early 1970's. He migrated to the UK Folk scene in 1978 playing 100's of gigs with the duo Tall Story alongside Merv Sterry. They appeared on BBC radio on a number of occasions. From 1984 until the the early 1990's he worked with Colin Reece, one of the finest singer songwriters from South East England. This duo, often joined by the world class electric fiddle player Ian Cutler allowed Steve to combine acoustic and electric guitar playing across folk and rock styles, and they became a fixture at folk festivals - although often playing very little folk music!!. Steve also worked in Scandinavia with Colin during 1985 on a 15 date tour.

Since 1991 Steve has worked with a wide range of folk artists in the UK and and is still writing, gigging and recording as time permits

As an engineer and musician, Steve built his own studio and engineered and produced two instrumental albums in 1989 and 2000. His guitar collection really started in 1974 with the purchase of a Gibson Les Paul Deluxe, and most of his earlier instruments were sold. Since that time the collection has been added to on a regular basis - the guitars on this site show the instruments owned at the present time. As of early 2007 Steve has a particular fondness for Telecasters and currently owns four!
